This is my 73 Pontiac Catalina that I took to the Missoula Spring Derby.  Didn't do to good, the rear of the car didn't hold up at all.

This is my 71 Pontiac Safari that I took to the Dillon Jacees Derby on July 17, 2004.  I got second with it but should have gotten first, if I wasn't such a nice guy.  It will be ready for the Deer Lodge Derby on August 22, 2004. The Cap'n looked better before the sun faded some. My 71 Safari the day of the Deer Lodge Demo Derby 8/22/04 before My 71 Safari the day after the Deer Lodge Demo derby 8/23/04.  I was in a tough heat with the 1st, 2nd, and 4th place cars in the main coming from my heat.  I should have been in the main too, but my fuel cell broke loose and kinked my fuel line.  Never thought that would happen.  No consi either :-(.

05 car a 76 Impala ran at the Hot Rockin 4th in Ogden UT.

06 car a 77 Monte Carlo ran at Missoula's two derbies.

After  -  Not much difference even though I got 2 of the 4 hardest hist the fans voted for.  I lost my steering was just hitting what ever I could.  I finally got hung up on a car that I was trying to drive thru/around to get back in to the action.  I couldn't turn the steering wheel at all.  I had to drop the linkage so that I could steer the wheels onto the trailer.  Something is wrong with the gear box.  Too bad I really couldn't have finished it off, before I junked it, but now I have to get the Catalina below ready.

74 Pontiac Catalina going to be ran in Deer Lodge 2006

Pics of before I started to strip it.

This is the above Catalina after Deer Lodge.  I was too pressed for time to get before pics of it. :-(  Oh and I got first with it. :-(

Here are a few action shots from the derby.  They are rather large and my take a while to load.

This is it before 2007 in Deer Lodge.

Almost Done

Loaded and ready to go.

After Deer Lodge '09. Got 3rd some how. Two well running nosers imps beat me. Advanced to main through the consi (kinda). Bent a-arm after getting pushed on a log in the the first heat. Top 3 cars all came from the same heat. Car is very usable again needfix some sheet metal and suspension.

Here is a few before and after pics of the Butte demo July 31, 2010. It will ride again. I broke a leaf and dropped the centering bolt and the rearend shifted back. That caused my driveshaft to drop. Put the drive shaft back in and drove off the trailer.

I got 4th after braking my u-bolts on my u-joint in my heat and advancing through the consolation. I broke my welds holding my engine cradle and with that my engine moved forward and took out my radiator. This also cause my oil filter to become disconnected and I lost my oil. I also got a flat on my passenger rear that was making my engine have to work more. I was having to grab my shifter to pull my engine back and use my foot to hold my gas pedal and my engine from flopping over to the side when I stepped on the gas. In the end my engine got to hot to make enough power to keep me moving. It was a hard hitting action packed derby. It was one of the best that I have been in. My car almost tempts me to run it again. The front other than the cradle being loose looks very good. The body on rear is quite beat in and the frame just under the passenger seat is bent just where everyone said it would bend. I should have taken their experiance and learned from it. I almost want to push the rear down and fix the frame and engine cradle and run it again. I drove it off the trailer.
Here are some pictures of my car after Deer Lodge.
